Now, to celebrate the new year, Microsoft has announced the lineup of games for Xbox Game Pass in January 2024. Here you will find the lineup along with a list of other confirmed games for Q1 2024.
January should be an exciting month for gamers. There are lots of upcoming releases for January including Tekken 8 as well as Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League if you opt for early access. In addition, the date has seemingly leaked for an Xbox Developer Direct in January 2024. This will feature showcases from developers as well as possibly a shadowdrop release from Psychonauts 2 developer, Double Fine.

All of the above comes courtesy of Microsoft’s news blog post except for Turnip Boys and Go Mecha Ball. Turnip Boys Rob A Bank is a day-one addition that looks really fun. It has a really unique throwback visual art style, and it is a single-player adventure with an emphasis on comedy.
Go Mecha Ball is also another day-one addition for next year. It also has stunning visuals with the onus on style rather than graphical prowess, and it is a twin-stick shooter with roguelike elements. You play as a mech who can walk and shoot as well as turn into a rolling ball of speed. Rolling through four different worlds, your goal is to defeat enemies and overcome varied obstacles and puzzles.

These are all the releases with specific launch dates/months for Xbox Game Pass in 2024. Looking at the above list, Persona 3 Reload really stands out. If you’ve never experienced the original PS2 classic, then you’re in for a treat as it’s completely remade with visuals on par with Persona 5, and the story and characters are as equally incredible as Persona 4 and 5, too.
Lightyear Frontier also looks amazing as an open-world sci-fi farming simulator, and Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes is another excellent day-one RPG to anticipate. Of course, there are way more games confirmed for 2024 but without specific launch dates or months. Hellblade Senua’s Saga 2 is scheduled for this year, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 Heart of Chernobyl as well, and the release date for ARK 2 was delayed to the end of 2024. Yes, it truly promises to be another excellent year for Microsoft subscribers.
