Microsoft has revealed that Trenched, an XBLA mech game from Double Fine, is to be released across Europe in September under the new name “Iron Brigade”. The news came today as the platform holder showcases its biggest titles at an event in Cologne, Germany.
Trenched saw a US release back in June, but obscure board game “Trench” blocked the game’s release in Europe. Thus, Microsoft has been forced to change the name in order to release the game in the rest of the world.
Trenched went down very well with gamers in the US so we expect it’ll do just as well in Europe, even with a slightly more generic sounding name.
