World of Warcraft has revealed the introduction of a new charity cosmetic called the Pet Pack for Ukraine through a collaboration with That ’70s Show actress Mila Kunis. According to Blizzard and Kunis’s message, all proceeds from sales of the recently added accessory will be going directly to BlueCheck Ukraine, a non-profit organization that provides “critical humanitarian relief” to the war-torn Eastern European country.
The announcement for World of Warcraft’s charitable cosmetic offering came in the form of a short clip that mainly featured Kunis talking about her involvement with both BlueCheck Ukraine and the MMORPG’s community. Although the collaboration does come as a slight surprise to some fans, it’s been no secret that the actress has been a hardcore World of Warcraft player since the days of the Burning Crusade. Of course, she has since eased up on venturing through the world of Azeroth, but her lingering connection to the ever-popular game is undoubtedly what made this partnership for a good cause possible.
Based on Blizzard’s Pet Pack for Ukraine store page, those that purchase this item will apparently be able to get “Sunny, an adorable golden retriever for World of Warcraft, and Flurky, a lovely baby baby murloc pet for Wrath of the Lich King classic characters.” Naturally, this offer will only be available for a limited time until August 29, 2023 at 10 AM PT, after which these special edition pets will no longer be purchasable.
Once you’ve bought the Pet Pack for Ukraine, both companions “will be applied to present and future World of Warcraft and Wrath of the Lich King characters on a single regional Battle.net account,” meaning you won’t have to purchase it again if you want to play as one of your different avatars.
