Will Like A Dragon: Ishin! be on Xbox Game Pass? Unfortunately, no.

With the release of Like A Dragon: Ishin! this week, many gamers are getting ready to try this brand new spin-off from the Yakuza (now Like A Dragon) series when it arrives next week.

Of those fans, many are wondering if the game will be available on services such as Xbox Game Pass – after all, many entries on the well-loved series are already on there.

The throwback remake (it makes sense, trust us) will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on February 21 – but how about Game Pass? Let’s find out.

Will Like A Dragon: Ishin! be on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Like A Dragon: Ishin! is not slated to arrive on Game Pass from the game’s launch. Instead, if you want to play the game you’ll have to buy it on the release date – or get the Digital Deluxe edition for early access.

Though you can replay most entries so far of the Yakuza series on Game Pass, this wouldn’t be the only exception that isn’t on there just yet.

Lost Judgment – also a spin-off of the series – has also not yet made it to the subscription service. As Like A Dragon: Ishin! is technically a spin-off and not one of the mainline Like A Dragon games, this may be a reason it’s not yet on there.

That’s not to say it may not be added to the series at a future date, of course. But at the time of writing, there’s no indication of when or, indeed if, that will happen.

For now then, if you want to experience this historical detour, you’ll have to buy the game on launch. If you want to try before you do – however – there is a free demo.

This demo is available regardless of your subscription to Xbox Game Pass or any other service – and can be found on the Xbox Marketplace, PlayStation Store or on PC via Steam.

Like A Dragon: Ishin! is set to launch on February 21 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
