The Wild Hearts spring update introduces a bunch of fresh features to EA’s monster hunting creation, including an all-new fiendish vulpine species. But aside from the latest creature addition, a number of other elements are also being included, such as another Karakuri, and the ability to ‘limit break’ weapons and armor.

With so much to look forward to, you may now want to know more about everything that’s being added with the upcoming patch. Not to worry, because we’ll be covering that and more below so you won’t be missing anything ahead of its release.

Wild Hearts spring update notes

Based on the official EA blog post, a new vulpine species called the Murakumo is being added to the game’s extensive Kemono list. This creature can apparently heavily influence the wind as it has the ability to “course through the air on platforms made of sakura blossoms.” It can also “unleash a thunderous tornado” at times that could possibly leave you unconscious, so studying its patterns may take some time.

Fortunately, the developers are adding a new Karakuri, which they recommend bringing in the fight against the beast. The deadly tool being added to the game’s arsenal is a Spinning Top that gains both speed and power whenever it hits obstacles or Kemono. Once it’s gathered enough speed and power, it can even stagger beasts whenever it connects.

Additionally, a new method of ‘limit breaking’ weapons and armor is also being added through the use of Core Orbs. These resources are mainly obtained by hunting down Volatile Kemono. Keep in mind, though, that the type of orb you obtain will depend on where you are hunting.

As always, there will always be a new set of bug fixes and improvements that arrives with the patch. However, the detailed list of notes will be released along with the update, so we’ll continue to update this page with the latest information as soon as it arrives.
