While adventuring through the beast-filled lands of Wild Hearts, you’ll need to equip yourself with different forms of Karakuri in order to protect yourself from the dangers that you will inevitably be facing.

For those unfamiliar, Karakuri is the name of the weapons and tools found in the land of Azuma. They serve multiple purposes when used on the field so you’ll always want to make use of the many forms that they come in as you progress.

To give you an idea of what you can expect with the different types of Karakuri found in the game, we’ll be listing all of them below along with their categories and uses.

Full Karakuri List in Wild Hearts

Basic Karakuri

  • Spring – launches you in a specific direction, allowing you to attempt a powerful jumping attack or immediately flank an approaching enemy.
  • Crate – can be used to avoid ground attacks or even execute powerful aerial strikes when positioned correctly.
  • Torch – lights dim areas, but can also add fire to your weapon thereby dealing additional damage.
  • Glider – allows you to stay in the air longer when jumping from elevated areas.
  • Celestial Anchor – once placed down, you’ll be able to tether yourself to it so you can swing around faster in order to close the gap between you and your opponent.
  • Stake – the game’s version of a grappling hook that you can attach to cliffs or Kemono themselves.

Fusion Karakuri

  • Bulwark – a defensive item that is mainly used to counter charge attacks or simply as a wall to defend against Kemono attacks.
  • Pounder – a strong, but slow offensive Karakuri that inflicts a large amount of stun damage.
  • Star Bomb – a high-damage explosive that’s slow to detonate on its own, but immediately explodes once attacked. Be careful when using this as the explosion can also blow away you and your teammates.
  • Repeater Crossbow – a long-range Karakuri that shoots at regular intervals. It can serve as a distraction and is also highly effective against flying Kemono.
  • Chain Trap – ensnares Kemono thereby allowing you to strike them with ease. Keep in mind, though, that Kemono may learn to escape it with repeated usage.
  • Celestial Cannon – a powerful Karakuri that steadily collects celestial thread and eventually hurls it at the target. Though difficult to aim, it can stagger Kemono due to its power.
  • Healing Mist – a device that gives off a healing mist as long as it lingers.
  • Firework – emits brilliant flashes of light that can daze flying Kemono and bring them to the ground.
  • Shield Wall – has the ability to deflect any Kemono attack, but disintegrates quickly.
  • Healing Vaporizer – a variant of the Healing Mist that can regenerate HP and cure a single ailment.
  • Pile Driver – a powerful that can pierce a Kemono’s skin. However, you’ll have to be holding the Kemono in order to use it.
  • Celestial Shield – a shield made of celestial thread that can protect you from attacks for a limited time.

Dragon Karakuri

  • Flying Vine – shoots a zipline across a great distance and is usually used outside of combat.
  • Wind Vortex – generates a strong wind that hunters can use together with their glider for added height and speed.
  • Roller – a vehicular Karakuri that hunters can use to travel long distances. While in motion, it can be hurled into Kemono as long as you exit it beforehand.
  • Paddle Scoop – automatically catches fish making it incredibly efficient.
  • Training Bear – a Karakuri complete with its own set of moves, you can spar with it freely to practice using weapons and other Karakuri.
  • Hunting Tower – enables you to detect large Kemono within the area. Gradual enhancements can improve the effectiveness of this tool.
  • Hunter’s Tent – a place of rest for those looking to get away from the hunt.
  • Campfire – an important tool that also allows you to party up with other hunters.
  • Field Forge – complete with all the tools necessary to upgrade or create equipment.
  • Drying Rack – different types of food can be placed here to enhance the buff that they provide.
  • Sign – a simple sign that allows you to warn or encourage players.
  • Ornamental Lantern – lights the specific area that it’s placed in.
  • Ingredients Chest – a container that hunters use to store food.
  • Launcher – can be used to either catapult yourself or other Karakuri at the target.
  • Pickling Jar – enhances the effectiveness of buffs that different ingredients provide.
  • Wind Chime – a decorative tool that makes a gentle sound as the wind blows.
  • Tsukumo Ore Shrine – once constructed, it allows Tsukumo to leave ores around its area.
  • Bench – a seat that can be placed down for hunters to rest at.
  • Small Desk – a simple desk that can be placed within camps.
  • Fermenting Cask – much like the Pickling Jar and the Drying Rack, this tool also enhances food that’s placed into it.
  • Wildlife Cage – hunters can place small creatures into this cage for companionship. It also allows players to collect materials from them.
  • Enhanced Flying Vine – a much stronger version of the regular Flying Vine that can be used to tackle Kemono as well.
  • Looking Glass – enables you to change your appearance whenever you want. It can only be used in Minato.
  • Communal Ingredients Chest – a container that allows different hunters to place food into it.
  • Celestial Tsukumo Shrine – a structure that enables Tsukumo to leave Celestial Thread around its immediate area.
  • Sunshade – a decorative tool that provides protection from the sun.
  • Smoker – another Karakuri that can be used to improve the perks that different types of food provide.
  • Hunter’s Bath – can give numerous benefits when used with the right collection of ingredients.
  • Tsukumo Food Shrine – once built, Tsukumo will leave different types of edible materials around it.
  • Wildlife Pen – a structure that allows you to tame and keep even more small creatures. Allows you to collect materials from these animals.
  • Tanuki Statue – a decorative figure that depicts the Tanuki.
  • Ornamental Gateway – a decorative tool typically used to mark the entrance to a hunter’s village.
