The promotion began today with the release of Frogger, and will continue with a new title arriving on the service at 8am GMT each Wednesday until August 9. Next week is Cloning Clyde (July 19 – 800 points), followed by Galaga (July 26 – 400 points), Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting (August 2 – 800 points) and Pac-Man (August 9 – 400 points).

Frogger is out now and costs only 400 Microsoft points (that’s under £3.50), and provides the choice of classic and updated graphics, along with new sound effects and some new multiplayer modes: Co-op vs. Speed, and some head-to-head game types. Achievement point junkies can also get going on building their score, with points up for grabs on completion of various levels, plus more skill-specific tasks, like getting the frogs home in level 1 in less than 45 seconds.

As usual there’s a demo out as well, so if for some reason you don’t know what Frogger’s like, download it for free and give it a go.
