Watch Dogs will be a true next generation experience, not an upgraded version of a current generation game, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot has told Dutch gaming website InsideGamer.

“The team is developing it on high end PCs and next gen, after that other teams are looking how they can make it fit for the older generation. So the first approach is to see how they can take full advantage of the next gen consoles,” explained Guillemot.

He added that Ubisoft may show both versions of the game at E3.

It’s good to know that Watch Dogs won’t be constrained by the limitations of current generation hardware. Given how impressive the game is looking it’s going to be a mighty task down-scaling the title for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
