What is the Data Heist Public Event in Warzone 2?

According to Raven Software’s announcement post, players should apparently “keep their eyes peeled for any new secrets as well,” indicating that they may have added more to the game.

The introduction of this feature so far has mostly been met with confusion. Many within the community think that it would be better suited for DMZ instead as the added objectives and incentives would make for a much more entertaining extraction experience.

However, the fact that the developers are continuing to provide new updates to the game bodes well for MW2 fans. A large portion of the player base had previously been worried that it was being abandoned due to the announcement of the new 2023 CoD title. This new feature and the upcoming midseason update should ease the community’s worries for now.
