Raven Software has blessed the Warzone 2 player base with an early Christmas present in the form of purchasable Loadout Drop Grenades. During the launch of CoD’s follow-up battle royale title, Loadout Drops had been removed to make the game more challenging.

Unfortunately, the omitted feature wasn’t well received by the community as numerous users were soon asking for its immediate return. Though many weren’t hopeful at first due to the developer’s previous lack of communication, it seems that Raven Software does indeed listen to its loyal player base.

According to Raven Software’s official post, Loadout Drop Grenades are now available at all Buy Stations. The same announcement goes on to list the prices that players can expect depending on the amount of squad members:

  • Solos – $8,000
  • Duos – $16,000
  • Trios – $24,000
  • Quads – $32,000

It’s important to note, though, that this feature may still be removed by Raven Software at any time if they see fit. The developers had this to say in their post regarding its reinstatement: “The continuity of this feature will depend on feedback we receive and overall impact on the Battle Royale experience in Warzone 2.”

The return of Loadout Drops have predictably been received with widespread praise. Multiple Reddit threads have been created celebrating its availability in the game. Though some are wary of the steep $32,000 price tag when playing Quads, a large number of comments have stated that this is a step in the right direction for the franchise.

It’s currently unknown whether the developers have more surprises in store for Warzone 2. But with Raven Software proactively addressing numerous community complaints, players are now becoming increasingly hopeful that additional issues will soon be fixed in the future.
