Vince Zampella, one of the creators of the original Call of Duty, has said that he hasn’t played through a
Call of Duty game since being fired from Activision in 2010.

Speaking to Glixel, Zampella revealed that he hasn’t “played through a Call of Duty since Modern Warfare 2. I will play Modern Warfare Remastered,” he continued. “And there’s a good chance that I’ll play Infinite Warfare. They’re kind of getting a little close to home. I’ve got to see what they’re doing.”

Zampella co-founded Call of Duty creator Infinity Ward back in 2002, but was fired from Activision in 2010 over an alleged breach of contract. Zampella later filed a lawsuit against Activision, which the publisher countersued, before reaching a private settlement out of court.

As well as the original game, Zampella oversaw development of Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2, before going on to form Respawn and create Titanfall.

Respawn’s latest game, Titanfall 2, released late last month. You should play it.
