Just a day removed from the game taking home the Best Game award at the 2023 BAFTA Games Awards, Vampire Survivors is getting a brand new DLC for players to sink their fangs into.
Entitled Tides of the Foscari, players won’t have long to wait for this DLC either – as it’s set to launch for the game on PC and Xbox on April 13, 2023.
The premise of the DLC is based around the Foscari Academy, a prestigious wizard school nestled in the midst of a mysterious wood. (Sounds familiar…) The academy is divided into three houses, with one from each house sent into the forest to battle a bevvy of mythological creatures.
Tides of the Foscari will include a whopping eight new characters, starting with the aforementioned trio with more to unlock as you make your way through the DLC. Our initial trio include skilled magic user Eleanor, the strong-armed Maruto and the quick-witted Keitha.
Naturally, there’s a new stage too – Lake Foscari – and thirteen new weapons to wield, including the SpellString, Eskizzibur, Flash Arrow and Prismatic Missile. There’s seven new music tracks, and 21 entire new achievements to bolster your Gamerscore with. Poncle – the dev studio behind the game, also tease further surprises to be found within the DLC.
We don’t have long to wait before we find out what they are. Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari arrives for the game on Xbox consoles, PC and mobile on April 13, 2023. The main game is also currently available on Xbox Game Pass.
