Naughty Dog has announced that it is developing a new Uncharted title for PlayStation 4.
The next-gen adventure, currently under the working title ‘Uncharted’, appears to be headed up by the Uncharted 3 team, with Drake’s Deception game director Justin Richmond and creative director and writer Amy Hennig back on board for the project.
To mark the announcement, Naughty Dog released a teaser trailer (above) narrated by The Riches actor Todd Stashwick who will play a new character in the game. The character sounds as if he could be a new villain, who lost 15 years of his life after being “buried alive” and – presumably – left for dead by Drake.
The developer says that it aims to “continue what we’ve done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4.”
A release date has yet to be announced.
