Uncharted 4’s creative director has warned fans to “stay vigilant” in the run up to the game’s release to try and avoid “big surprises” from being spoiled.
Posting on Twitter this afternoon, Neil Druckmann said: “Uncharted 4 is just two weeks away! As we get closer it’ll get harder and harder to control leaks. Stay vigilant. Big surprises in store.”
Druckmann’s comment follows hours after VideoGamer spoke to a UK gamer who had managed to purchase a copy of the game yesterday, over two weeks ahead of its official release. Multiple copies of the game available in-hand today have also appeared on eBay. The game isn’t due to go on sale until May 10.
“I went in to CEX… to actually buy myself a camera lens,” they told us, “and when I went to the counter to purchase the lens I saw behind the shop assistant that there was Uncharted 4 so as a try I said can I also get a copy of Uncharted 4, he just picked it up and rang it through the till. The game cost £55.”
The game’s single-player campaign is playable, they added, although multiplayer does not yet appear to be available. SCEE has not yet responded to VideoGamer.com’s request for comment.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End launches exclusively on PS4 on May 10.
