Sony has revealed that upcoming third-person action adventure title Uncharted 3 will require an online pass. In an interview with Spanish gaming website The Vault (Via Joystiq), Sony España Software Manager Juan Jiménez confirmed that the online portion of the game will need a one-time-use PSN Pass.

The PSN Pass system was used for the first time with Sony and Insomniac’s Resistance 3. Gamers who purchase the game pre-owned will be able to buy a PSN Pass for $10.

Uncharted 3 is due for release on PlayStation 3 on November 2.

Nothing overly surprising here. Online pass codes are now the norm for the industry, so expect all Sony’s first-party titles to require a code.
