GfK ChartTrack reports that Nintendo’s Wii Sports Resort has entered the UK All Formats All Prices video game chart at No.1.
The sequel to the pack-in sports game, Wii Sports, becomes the fourth biggest week one title for Wii, behind Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. ChartTrack also reports that Wii Sports Resort’s week one sales are almost identical to week one sales of the Wii – launched towards the end of 2006.
EA’s Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince drops to No.2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 remains at No.3, Wii Fit is at No.4 and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen slips three places to No.5.
On PSP, Capcom’s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite continues its reign at the top, while SEGA’s The Conduit slips a further two places to No.12 on the Wii chart. Warner’s Watchmen: The End is Nigh – Parts 1 & 2 is new at No.38 on the Xbox 360 chart.
The only release of note on Friday is Disney’s movie tie-in G-Force, but we don’t expect Wii Sports Resort to budge from the top.
