Chart Track reports that Capcom’s Street Fighter IV has entered the All Formats All Prices chart at No.1, with 53 per cent of sales on PS3 and 47 per cent on Xbox 360. The game becomes the fastest-selling traditional beat ’em up since the All Formats Chart began back in 1997.
Sales of Wii Fit were up 20 per cent, but it has to settle for second place in the chart. The next highest new entry comes from THQ’s Dawn of War II at No.3, followed by D3P’s Ben 10: Alien Force which is up from No.13 to No.4. FIFA 09 holds at No.5, CoD: World at War falls to No.6 and SEGA’s Mega Drive Ultimate Collection is new at No.7.
Mario Kart Wii falls to No.8, Wii Play slides to No.9 and Warner’s F.E.A.R. 2 drops to No.10 following its debut week at No.2. Atari’s Race Pro is new at No.13 and SEGA’s House of the Dead: Overkill sees a 30 per cent increase during its second week, but can’t climb out of 15th place. THQ’s 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is the chart’s fifth new entry, although at No.22 it can’t match Bulletproof’s No.5 debut.
There are two games to watch out for next week: Killzone 2 and Halo Wars. We’re pretty sure Killzone 2 will win out, but don’t underestimate the pull of the Halo brand.
