Square-Enix will no doubt be celebrating this morning, with Just Cause 2 giving the publisher its second All formats No.1 in three weeks. The Xbox 360, PS3 and PC open world action game beat off competition from Pokemon to take the coveted top spot.

Pokemon may well count itself a little unlucky, however, with its two versions (HeartGold and SoulSilver) charting second and fourth respectively. Elsewhere, last week’s No.1 God of War 3 slips down to No.7, Final Fantasy XIII is at No. 8, and EA’s Bad Company 2 holds onto a top 5 place at No. 3. Ubisoft mega hit Just Dance for the Wii snatches the No. 5 position.

Prison Break: The Conspiracy is the only other new entry to make the top 20, charting at No. 17. Red Steel 2, Ubisoft’s impressive Wii exclusive, made a very disappointing debut at No. 34.

This week’s new releases are unlikely to make a dent on the charts, although we reckon the Easter holiday will see a rise in Nintendo game sales.
