Grand Theft Auto 5 has returned to the top of the UK All Formats All Prices video game chart for only the fifth time, despite being the country’s all-time best-selling game.

A week of no new releases means that Rockstar’s title could regain the top spot despite suffering a 51 per cent drop in week-on-week sales.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, meanwhile, drops down to second place, FIFA 15 remains in third, Far Cry 4 takes fourth and The Crew climbs one to No.5.

The week’s big mover was Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, up from No.27 to No.11 thanks to sales of the Assassin’s Creed Xbox One console bundle. Captain Toad is the week’s disaster story, sadly falling from No.16 to No.40.
