Having stormed to the top of the All Formats Chart last week, Halo 3 sales have slumped 79% and the blockbuster title has to resign itself to second position. It’s EA’s multiplatform giant, FIFA 08, which takes the reigns following in the footsteps of FIFA 06 and FIFA 07 which both topped the chart in week 40.

FIFA 08 holds the top spot in the PS2, PS3, PSP and Wii charts and the PS2 game manages to topple Halo 3 in individual format sales. Despite gaining a place in the chart, FIFA 08 doesn’t see a rise in sales, with THQ’s Juiced 2 the only Top 10 title able to improve on last week’s performance. The neon light-laden street racer climbs two places to No.3 thanks to a 16% increase in sales.

THQ also looks to be onto a winner with film tie-in Ratatouille which enters the Top 10 in its second week and is sure to continue to sell well thanks to heavy promotion for the movie. Second week sales of Conan and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts also improve, placing at No.32 and No.34 respectively.

Ubisoft’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Hard Evidence debuts ate No.24 with the game placing at No.4 in the PC chart and No.11 in the Xbox 360 chart.
