It’s the start of a new year, but there’s very little change in the UK Video Game Chart as FIFA 14 continues its run at the top.

FIFA 14 has now claimed six weeks at No.1, matching that of FIFA 13, which incidentally was No.1 this time last year.

In fact, the top seven remain as they were last week. Call of Duty: Ghosts is at No.2 selling 4,000 more units than Assassin’s Creed 4 at No.3. GTA 5 takes fourth place, and is on course to become the UK’s biggest ever selling title within the next three months.

The only games moving around in the Top 10 are Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition at No.8 and Just Dance 2014 at No.9 which swap places.

With nothing new coming to stores this week don’t expect much to change, unless new year sales boost a particular title’s popularity.

It’s interesting to see Xbox One’s line-up outselling PS4’s titles, though, with three of Microsoft’s launch line-up inside the Top 20, whilst Killzone: Shadow Fall falls to No.21.
