Ubisoft looks set to reveal the “next game in the Tom Clancy’s universe” during an event this evening at 7pm UK time.

While the studio is keeping most of its cards to its chest as to what the game is, it has dropped a couple of clues. The tweet in question promises “things are going to get wild” which seems to point at a rumoured PvP crossover FPS known as ‘BattleCat.’ A leak on Twitter earlier this year (reported by VideoGamesChronicle) showed a series of images from an FPS that crossed the Splinter Cell, The Division and Ghost Recon universes. However, the images were quickly taken down by Ubisoft’s lawyers at the time.

Ahead of this evening’s announcement, meanwhile, a few high profile FPS influencers and other gaming websites such as IGN have posted brief snippets of the new game to go along with Ubisoft’s tease. These appear to confirm that the title is some kind of competitive FPS, at least.

Ubisoft is almost certainly hoping this new announcement may make amends for the delays of two of the company’s other games on Friday. Riders Republic was pushed to October, while Rainbow Six Extraction is now expected in January 2022.

We’ll know more on this new title when Ubisoft reveal the new Tom Clancy’s game this evening via their social channels at 7pm UK time. You can also check the reveal below, once it’s live. Rest assured, we’ll also keep you in the loop what the new game is once we’re able to.
