Ubisoft has announced that they have agreed a deal to publish The Bard’s Tale in Europe. The game was released in the US by Acclaim, but since they no longer exist the game had been in temporary limbo.

Developed by inXile, the game is an action RPG that revolves around the Bard, a musician who likes money and women. Unusually for a videogame, the game offers a truly funny experience, as well as competent design and gameplay. Using the engine that powered such hits as Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath, the game is no slouch in the visual department either.

The game received pretty good reviews in the states and Ubisoft clearly think that the game will do well in the European market. The game is set for a March 2005 release on Pc, PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
