Ubisoft hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Assassin’s Creed Rogue coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later date, according to comments made by producer Ivan Balabanov.

Speaking to OXM about the possibility of Rogue heading to new-gen consoles in the future, Balabanov said: “It’s too early to discuss this subject. Right now Unity is our game for new generation consoles.”

Rogue is currently in development at Ubisoft Sofia for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 this November. Xbox One, PS4 and PC, meanwhile, are due to receive Assassin’s Creed: Unity two weeks earlier on October 28.

Should Rogue make the jump to next-gen, though, it wouldn’t be the first AC title from Ubisoft Sofia to be ported to other platforms. Sofia’s previous Assassin’s Creed title, Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, later made its way to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC having originally been developed for PS Vita.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue fills the gap between Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed 4, and tells the tale of new Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Patrick Cormac as he journeys across the North Atlantic. Look out for it on PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 11.
