A RAR file containing assets for a number of announced and yet to be announced Ubisoft titles was mistakenly uploaded to a public FTP. The file has now been removed, but not before eagle-eyed internet users got hold of it. Ubisoft has released the following statement regarding the information leak:
“We are clearly displeased that confidential information from Ubisoft has been distributed on the internet,” read the statement. “The publication of this type of information can only be harmful to the game development process and we will take all steps necessary to prevent this from happening in the future. We are still investigating the events that lead to this information leak and at this time have no further comment.”
Information on the new titles will no doubt be released when Ubisoft is ready.
