Ubisoft has pulled the plug on the first live event for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which should have kicked off yesterday.
The first live event was meant to have players scrapping with an Epic Mercenary known as Damias the Indifferent, a nasty-looking chap sporting a huge mace-looking thing. That didn't happen sadly, with technical issues forcing Ubisoft to cancel the event.
Still, players didn't have reason to think something was up, as in-game notifications for Odyssey said he was available to hunt down.
PSA: This week's live event was canceled – apologies for the inconvenience.
Rumor has it that Damais bailed at the very last minute. Apparently, he was intimidated by the idea of facing the misthios. He'll give you a fair fight as soon as we track him down. âš”ï¸ pic.twitter.com/8NkluGgPkw

Assassin's Creed Odyssey was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 5, and I thought it was one of the best instalments in the series to date. It's also managed to give the series its biggest first week sales of the current-generation.
