HAZE is said to be an “innovative FPS, and comes from the studio behind the Timesplitters series of video games. HAZE is due for release early in 2007 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC DVD-ROM.
“We are really pleased to be introducing this ground-breaking new intellectual property and to work with the best shooter developers on consoles” said John Parkes, director of marketing at Ubisoft EMEA. “With HAZE, Ubisoft demonstrates its profound commitment to the next-generation of video games and will definitely have a chance to deliver a top notch shooter in one stunning package.”
In the game’s single-player campaign you will play as Jake Carpenter, a newly enlisted soldier in the Mantel army. You have access to a range of high-tech weapons, vehicles and your own bio-mech abilities. Ubisoft has also announced that the game will include online multiplayer support, including co-op gameplay.
With Haze not due until early 2007, expect to see a lot more on the game over the next year.
