Dino-blasting duo Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil are coming to the Xbox One next month courtesy of Nightdive Studios.

Both games were previously released on PC, although they’re not a complete from-the-ground-up remaster. Rather, Nightdive has polished up the visuals but they still retain the trademark murkiness of their N64 counterparts, which to be honest is the only way you’d want to experience Turok in this day and age.

Turok 1 and 2 will set you back £15.99 when they go on sale for Microsoft’s latest telly box on March 2. One highlight is that Turok 2 features a new multiplayer mode that combines the levels, visuals, and weapons of the N64 version with the PC edition.

Just in case you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, Turok was developed by Iguana Entertainment and came out in 1997, becoming one of the most beloved shooters of its time. The sequel followed in 1998, although by this point GoldenEye had stolen much of the series’ thunder.

Nightdive also happens to be the same developer responsible for the ambitious System Shock remake. Last week however the studio confirmed that it had put the project on hiatus as it looked to re-evaluate its goals for the title, so it won’t be seeing the light of day for some time yet.Â
