Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 developer Treyarch has unveiled a slew of changes it plans on implementing for the game's battle royale mode, Blackout.

The studio confirmed that it's making the changes based on feedback from the recent Blackout beta, which kicked off on PlayStation 4 earlier this month before rolling out on PC and Xbox One.

Armour is one of the key areas that is getting tweaked for Blackout in time for launch, and is something that will be 'tuned multiple times as the game, and the gameplay content, evolves over time.' For starters, Level 3 Armour will now spawn 75% less frequently than it did in the beta, and players will be able to see an indicator of what shape their armour is in on the HUD.

Meanwhile, audio has been tweaked so that the footsteps of your teammates are now quieter than your enemies, and the Awareness Perk will further tone down the noise your teammates' footsteps.

In addition, the performance of the game on Xbox One will be buffed in time for launch, while the Quick Equip menu has been tweaked so that it now closes if you don't interact with it for a few seconds.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 12.
