Nintendo has announced the November 7, 2008 European release of Trauma Center: New Blood for Wii.

The sequel to Trauma Center: Second Opinion sees new doctors Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock join the practice, who must combat the latest deadly virus – Stigma. Markus and Valerie will need to unravel a web of deceit and betrayal, discoveries that could lead to fatal consequences.

New Blood sees players put in intense situations where patients’ lives hang in the balance. Using the Wii Remote and Nunchuck they’ll have to skilfully use medical instruments to operate on a variety of illnesses.

When standard medial skills aren’t enough, each character has the ability to use a special Healing Touch. This allows players to briefly slow down time or stabilise the patient’s vitals, but is only available once per operation.

Cooperative surgery is also encouraged with players able to team up in almost all operations, each selecting instruments from their own set. Players will also be able to see how their skills match up to the rest of the world with online leaderboards via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Trauma Center: New Blood is scheduled for release across Europe for Wii on November 7, 2008.
