Accelerate Games has announced that its bringing its HD remaster of Toy Soldiers to the Nintendo Switch.

The game mashes tower defence, FPS and strategy games together as you take command of a toybox army of soldiers. While it ostensibly starts off with a WW1 veneer, expect plenty of twists as new toys get added. Soon enough, you’ll be fighting against (and with) robots, spaceships and more.

The game originally launched back in 2010 as an XBLA exclusive by Signal Studios, and proved very popular. This HD version gives the visuals a modern overhaul, and includes some welcome quality of life features too. It originally launched in October of last year on Xbox and PlayStation (following a couple of false starts), but certainly the Switch seems like a well-suited home for the game, so it’s good to finally see it arrive there too.

As an added bonus, there’s also multiplayer support, allowing you to wage war with friends. The package also includes all the DLC from the original game, including some new experimental levels specifically for the HD release. You can check out a trailer for the game down below.
