Creative Assembly has announced a new DLC for PC strategy game Total War: Warhammer 2, bringing the Ancient Egyptian-themed race of The Tomb Kings to proceedings.

The DLC is a Campaign Pack which will introduce four new playable factions, each with their own Legendary Lord and specific mechanics including Settra the Impossible, High Queen Khalida, Grand Hierophant Khatep and Arkhan the Black. You’ll be able to use them in both the Eye of the Vortex and the Mortal Empires campaigns as they search for the legendary Books of Nagash.

They’ll also get unique abilities, such as the power to cover their territories in massive sandstorms. Interestingly enough, the pack will not contain a supplementary story campaign, however, apparently ‘in response to player feedback.’

You can read more about the expansion in the full announcement on the Total War blog. Total War: Warhammer 2: Rise of the Tomb Kings is set to launch on Steam from January 23.
