A new Tony Hawk game will ‘probably’ be released in 2012, the man himself has said in an interview with Pixelated Geek.
“We’re right in the middle of making a whole new plan right now. We’re going to do something probably for next year but I can’t give too much away,” said Hawk. “But definitely we’re going to make new games, yes.”
Tony Hawk: Ride and Tony Hawk: Shred, games that used Activision’s board peripheral, suffered terrible review scores and equally disappointing sales.
It’s unknown if the next game in the series will scrap the peripheral, but we reckon it’s highly likely. Whether or not the series can return to its glory days of the early Noughties remains to be seen.
