The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall may only be two weeks away from launch but developer Bluepoint Games is “still working on getting the frame-rate up”, Respawn engineer Richard Baker has revealed.
“Bluepoint’s developing [the Xbox 360 version] and we’ve mostly been hands-off, letting them make their own technical decisions,” Baker explained to Digital Foundry. “It seems pretty close [in terms of] feature parity and they’re still working on getting the frame-rate up. I’m not sure about the resolution…”
Baker’s comments raise concerns about the last-gen version which has yet to been shown, and it still isn’t known what frame rate or resolution developer Bluepoint is targeting.
The game had originally been due to launch alongside the Xbox One and PC versions tomorrow, March 14, but saw a two week delay “to put the finishing touches on the current-gen version of the game”. Baker says it’s “getting better every day”.
Titanfall launches on Xbox One and PC tomorrow, March 14, and on Xbox 360 on March 28.
