The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has seen a further two week delay, EA has confirmed. The game now won’t launch on the console until April 11.

It’s the second delay for the last-gen version, which was originally due to launch alongside the Xbox One and PC versions last Friday, March 14, before being pushed back to March 28.

EA says that the additional time will let the game become “even better”.

“I want to update everyone on Titanfall for Xbox 360 in development with Bluepoint Games,” said EA Studios EVP Patrick Soderlund. “I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic. But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players.

“Titanfall for Xbox 360 will now be releasing on April 8 in North America, and beginning on April 11 in Europe. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.”

The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has yet to be seen, with comments made by Respawn engineer Richard Baker last week raising further concerns about the game’s performance.

“Bluepoint’s developing [the Xbox 360 version] and we’ve mostly been hands-off, letting them make their own technical decisions,” he said. “It seems pretty close [in terms of] feature parity and they’re still working on getting the frame-rate up. I’m not sure about the resolution…”

The 360 version is rumoured to run at half the speed of the Xbox One version at 30fps and render at a sub-HD resolution.
