Titanfall PC cheats will find themselves limited to playing only with other cheaters, Respawn has revealed.

Respawn has been using a tool called FairFight in order to detect cheaters on PC, and has been collecting data on cheats since launch but not enforcing bans. This all changed on March 21, with bans issued to those not playing fair.

If you’re banned you’ll see “FairFight: Cheat detected” on the game’s menu screen. If you do discover you’re banned you can continue playing, but not with the well behaved kids.

“You only get to play with other cheaters,” explains Respawn. “You can play with other banned players in something that will resemble the Wimbledon of aimbot contests. Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you. Good luck.”

And if you make a party with non-cheats, everyone in your party will be treated like a criminal for that session.

“If you are a non-cheater and you invite a cheater friend into a party, you will be stuck playing against cheaters,” says Respawn. “If you stop inviting your cheater friend, you will once again get to play with the non-cheater population. You do not get permanently tainted just by playing with a cheater – you are only banned for cheating if you are actually cheating.”
