Forget Wolverine, Rocket Raccoon is being hailed as the best counter for Tanks in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals players on Reddit are hailing Rocket Raccoon as the best “tank killer” who can shred Vanguards across matches quicker than any other DPS hero would. User UnhingedGammaWarrior wrote with the meme shared below, “No joke he will shred any tank in 6 seconds as long as they’re right in front of him. This also includes support killers such as Spider-Man and Ironfist. If you can’t run, you can definitely fight.”

But the user also points out how Rocket is still a great healer and says, “I solo healed as Rocket in a Diamond II match against 3 enemy healers with one of them being a Lord Rocket. My team still won. I’ll consider it luck backed up with great team work haha. They didn’t even need a revive, but the AMPs came in clutch.”

Rocket’s primary fire attack is extremely lethal in close range as reported by players in the past, which resulted in one player NoDamageRocket only resorting to using his healing abilities to climb GM ranks. However, there are already some players who use Rocket’s kit offensively to shred dive heroes and now tanks, who have defensive capabilities.

Players in the subreddit also suggested heroes that Rocket can take out instantly, for instance, Groot where one wrote, “Throw in Groot. A good Rocket will make Groot miserable by destroying walls and then him.”

Another one suggested Rocket be used for Doctor Strange in a way only the tiny guardian can, “I’ve found a good way of handling Strange is to dash behind him while he has his shield up. Now he has to choose between turning and stopping you from shredding him, exposing his back to your team, or letting you shred him in favor of continuing to block your team.”
