Rocket Raccoon has become one of the best healers in Marvel Rivals. The tiny Guardian has shocked everyone with his surprising skill while using his quick wit and powerful weapons. Rocket is now a top-tier support character thanks to his Repair Mode, a secondary fire skill that shoots healing orbs, and his ability to revive allies.

Some players, known as “NoDmgRocket” caused a lot of buzz when they hit Grandmaster rank without doing any damage with the character. This unique way of playing has skyrocketed the character’s popularity with players using the character in their matches more often.

Rocket has received a major overhaul in Season 2, as NetEase drastically changed his kit. Due to this, you may be interested in learning how to play the popular raccoon in the new season of Marvel Rivals.

How to use Rocket Raccoon in Marvel Rivals

In Marvel Rivals, Rocket Raccoon is a standout Strategist whose unique combination of healing, utility, and mobility makes him a formidable asset when used correctly. To get the most out of this feisty Guardian, prioritize his duty as a healer while taking advantage of his kit’s adaptability to help your team and stay alive. His Repair Mode, which sends forth bouncing healing spheres, should be your major emphasis.

These orbs heal approximately 50 health per second and can bounce off walls, making them perfect for maintaining allies in tight locations or over long distances. Aim strategically, angling shots to bounce onto crowded teammates or difficult-to-reach dives like Spider-Man or Black Panther. Because they also heal Rocket at half efficiency, you can utilize them to replenish your health during battles, particularly when repositioning.

Positioning is essential for mastering Rocket. As a squishy hero with only 250 HP, you are not cut out for the front lines. Stay behind your team, preferably on high ground or near cover, so you may safely lob orbs and detect impending dangers. His mobility (Jetpack Dash and wall-crawling) allows you to avoid dives from flankers such as Squirrel Girl or Moon Knight. Dashing uphill or crawling along walls to distract pursuers are effective ways to maintain distance.

Unfortunately, Rocket is one of the heroes to be nerfed in Season 2, as his mobility has been drastically affected by the patch. Due to this, you will have to carefully calculate your movements.

Combine this with his small stature, which makes him a difficult target, and you’ll last longer than other supports. Don’t save his Battle Rebirth Beacon (B.R.B.)—deploy it early near objectives or spawn places. It revives a fallen ally and summons armor packs and jetpacks, providing your side an advantage in lengthy battles. Just keep it covered behind terrain, as opponents can destroy it.

While healing is your bread and butter, don’t underestimate Rocket’s damage potential. Bombard Mode, his primary fire, does 192 DPS up close, making it ideal for finishing off low-health enemies or discouraging flankers. When your team is solid, weave in bullets between orbs, but don’t overcommit—your gun’s range quickly decreases.

His ultimate, C.Y.A., increases ally damage by 25% in a broad radius, so use it during team fights or enemy pushes, ideally when your DPS can profit. With the release of Marvel Rivals Season 2, Rocket now grants an additional 100 Bonus Health per second to his allies, capped at 150, so make sure to properly position the amplifier.

The Team-Up ability with The Punisher unleashes devastating firepower, just make sure you place the ammo overload device in the right spots. Finally, Rocket excels by combining constant healing with clever utility, all while avoiding danger with his quick moveset. Practice situational awareness, and he’ll lead your team to victory.

Even though people have different thoughts on Rocket, his win rate in Season 1.5 shows that he will still be useful in the meta. As Marvel Rivals keeps changing, Rocket Raccoon’s change from a scrappy fighter to a clutch healer shows how lively the game can be and how much players around the world love it.
