Netflix has lifted the curtains on the first look at actor Henry Cavill in full Geralt mode for its upcoming The Witcher series.
The streaming giant revealed a brief video of the Superman star striking a moody pose for a camera test, before necking what is presumably a potion of some description. Maybe it's something to make his beard grow quickly, because he's definitely lacking in the face fuzz department.
The Witcher series will begin airing in 2019 and features a number of characters from the franchise, including Ciri (Freya Allan) and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra). Cavill had expressed interest in playing Geralt before being cast, so fair play to him for bagging the role.
Doug Cockle, who voiced the monster-slaying hero in The Witcher video game series, reckons Cavill will do a great job at playing Geralt.
What do you guys and gals think? Needs more beard?
