Group-play within The Secret World has finally been detailed by lead content designer Joel Bylos.

He explains to Electric Playground: “We really feel that an MMO is a shared experience, right? It’s very important that people work together to solve these problems. That’s the greatest sort of feeling of achievement: when you work together with other people to overcome something.”

Groups will be made up of five characters, while raiding groups will be a formation of 10.

Additionally, Funcom is developing a system that allows dungeons to be played through in groups made up of similar class builds, as opposed to the traditional grouping of healers, tanks, and crowd control. A built-in self-heal is planned to help make this possible.

The Secret World is set to launch April 2012.
