When is the release date for The Lord of the Rings Gollum?
The Lord of the Rings Gollum will be released on May 25 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version is slated to release sometime in 2023, but we do not have an exact date for that as of this writing.

Nacon, the Lord of the Rings Gollum publisher, and Daedalic Entertainment have provided a closer look at the upcoming entry through an in-depth gameplay showcase. Most of the scenes shown in the preview included the titular character traveling through certain parts of Middle Earth in an effort to display the features and controls that are available. The Lord of the Rings Gollum will naturally be a story-driven adventure wherein your choices will seemingly determine certain parts of the story, similar to a Telltale game. Although the main goal of the game is predictably to help Gollum get to the One Ring, it remains to be seen what kind of obstacles and enemies he’ll need to get through in order to reach it.
There is quite a bit of gameplay to the game outside of the narrative impact. Gollum, being a smaller creature who doesn’t have much muscle to him, will need to rely on being stealthy around enemies. You will do quite a bit of climbing and sneaking around, but not much fighting is involved.
Your choices you make will largely be based around which side of the main character you tend to listen to. Smeagol is quite innocent, but Gollum is known for being ferocious.
While this game leans a little more to the linear side, there are open environments where you can do a little exploration to find the best way forward.
