Daedelic Entertainment and Nacon have offered up some more footage from the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, including a glimpse of some of the other characters you’ll meet along your journey.
The video, which made up part of last night’s Nacon Connect broadcast, features a chat with producer Harald Riegler. He talks about how the game will depict Gollum’s journey not often seen in other tellings of Tolkien’s story, with faithfully detailed environments from the descriptions in the books.
Riegler also confirms that there’ll be other characters from Middle Earth who’ll be showing up, including the Mouth of Sauron AKA the Lieutenant of Barad-dur. Also showing up will be Thranduil, the Elvenking who also happens to be the father of Legolas and of course, Gandalf the Wizard. We get a glimpse at all three character models in the footage below.
The video also confirmed a launch window for the game. Nacon had hoped to launch the game this year, but it appeared it had slipped into 2022 by this past January. As of this latest trailer, it now appears Lord of the Rings: Gollum will launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC in Fall 2022.
