Naughty Dog will offer a fresh update on The Last of Us: Part 2 before E3 2019, according to ResetEra tipster 'Aokiji.'

The forum user has a good track record so far, having leaked Sony's State of Play event before the format holder announced it last month. Speaking in the thread, the industry insider noted 'considering we’re getting an official TLOU2 update before E3, [it] would be really weird if it wasn’t 2019 now wouldn’t it[?].'

So, there we have it. With E3 next month, we hopefully won't have to wait long for more on the post-apocalyptic sequel providing Aokiji is on the money with this one.

The Last of Us: Part 2 hasn't got an official release date yet, but it is widely believed to be releasing at some point this year. The game will feature Ellie as the central protagonist, who is now 19-years-old, and apparently looking to get revenge. Why that is remains to be seen, however.

Interestingly, we've seen next to nothing on Joel in the game, although Ellie has been confirmed to share her adventure with an AI companion.
