The long-awaited PC release of the popular Naughty Dog title, The Last of Us, has unfortunately been delayed by a few weeks according to a post from the developers themselves.

Its launch date had initially been slated for March 3, 2023 but based on the statements made from the official announcement, it has now been pushed back to March 28, 2023. This decision was apparently made in order to further improve improve the final product and to ensure that this version of TLOU lives up to everyone’s standards.
However, some users have noticed that its new release date coincides with the end of HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation, which may have been done on purpose as a way of driving more traffic to the game. It’s currently unclear whether this was indeed the main reason for the delay or if it was just mere coincidence.
Whatever the reason may be, one thing that remains certain is that this will surely only benefit the game moving forward as the extended release window gives Naughty Dog more time to polish their much-anticipated port.

Though the developers are yet to specify the features that are arriving once it’s released, the game will more than likely take advantage of the capabilities of Windows systems. This most likely means improved graphics and slight gameplay enhancements, much like when it was released on the PS5. However, there may yet be even more features included with it, which we won’t know of until it’s actually announced by Naughty Dog.
With The Last of Us Part 1 on PC set to launch more than a month from now, there will most likely more announcements in the lead up to the release. For now, though, fans will still be able to enjoy HBO’s masterful adaptation of the popular post-apocalyptic title.
