Forever Entertainment has confirmed it’s bringing lightgun shooter The House of the Dead Remake to non-Switch consoles next week.
The remake first arrived for the Nintendo Switch earlier this month. However, the game will now also be heading to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia from April 28. The game gives the classic 1996 Sega lightgun shooter a modern day overhaul graphically, of course. You can also expect re-recorded audio and revamped controls while keeping ‘true to the original’ gameplay from developer MegaPixel Studio. (They were previously behind the 2020 Panzer Dragoon remakes.)
We can expect multiple endings, and all new additions too. These include a photo mode, a brand new game mode, an armour with unlockable weapons and a gallery filled with monsters and bosses you’ve defeated along the way. Local 2 player multiplayer is supported, and of course there’s achievements and trophies too.
Evidence of the game coming to additional platforms to the Switch was first uncovered thanks to a listing on the PlayStation Store just before launch. You can check out a new trailer for the remake for yourself down below. The House of the Dead: Remake arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia from April 28, 2022.
