The First Descendant Season 3 start time delayed with free rewards announced as compensation

Update: The First Descendant Season 3 was scheduled to start at 5AM PT/8AM ET/1PM BST, but Nexon has announced that the start time has been delayed with maintenance extended until 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM BST on August 7th.

As compensation for the delay, Nexon is gifting TFD players the following free rewards:

  • Gold Boost 1h (30%)
  • Kuiper Shard Boost 1h (30%)
  • Descendant EXP Boost 1h (30%)
  • Weapon Mastery Boost 1h(30%)

We don’t know when players will be able to claim the above gifts as the “distribution schedule will be announced separately at a later date”.

The First Descendant Season 3 is finally here! We’ve had to wait months longer than initially expected, but now it is on the cusp of coming out. There will be free rewards soon after S3 starts thanks to the recent demo, meanwhile, Nexon have also laid out huge improvements to “immersion”. All of the new content is exciting, and here you will find the release date and time countdown for when The First Descendant Season 3 will start along with new skins and more.

The First Descendant Season 3 release date

The release date for The First Descendant Season 3 is August 7th. This has officially been confirmed by Nexon.

Fans were able to enjoy a demo late-July, and this allowed players to experience some of the new content such as the hoverbike and new playable character Nell. In addition to Nell and the hoverbike, the launch of Season 3 will mark the game’s first crossover, and it is with Nier Automata.

When does The First Descendant Season 3 start?

The release time for when The First Descendant Season 3 will start is 5AM PT/8AM ET/1PM BST on August 7th. This is the scheduled start time per Nexon’s maintenance plan.

Maintenance will begin on August 6th at 10PM PT, as well as 1AM ET/6AM BST on August 7th. TFD will undergo maintenance until the hours listed above, but there’s always the possibility of last-minute delays.

You will not be able to play TFD until maintenance is over. Below are the very brief patch notes Nexon have provided:

New skins

There are a bunch of new skins that will become available when The First Descendant Season 3 starts. The most exciting outfits are no doubt the 2B and A2 attires as part of the Nier Automata collaboration.
