The First Descendant is an excellent multiplayer experience fans have loved since day one of its release, and one of the best parts has undoubtedly been Nexon continuously supporting the game and actually listening to feedback from the community. Many TFD fans were upset over the S1 roadmap, and Nexon has now changed The First Descendant Season 1 schedule as they have listened to the community once more.

Fans only have to wait until August 29th for the Season 1 release date. We are getting a new playable character called Hailey, and Nexon has shared the early Season 1 patch notes detailing some changes, fixes, and improvements, along with new weapons, a new difficulty, and more. We are also set to get Ultimate Freyna with fans head over heels in love with her new look.

Some fans were upset over the Season 1 roadmap thanks to the drip feeding of new content. While Season 1 is still being split into sequences, Nexon has listened to the community, and The First Descendant Season 1 new content will now arrive sooner and in two waves rather than three.

Nexon changes The First Descendant Season 1 schedule

Nexon has changed the Season 1 release schedule following feedback from The First Descendant fans. It is still set to arrive on August 29th, but producer, Lee Beom-jun, has announced an update to the release schedule. Below is the producer’s message to the TFD community:

“Greetings, Descendants. This The First Descendant’s Producer, Lee Beom-jun.

First, I would like to thank all Descendants for enjoying our game.

Recently I’ve noticed that many of you are concerned about our current update schedule for Season 1 and as a result, we decided to readjust it.

To make a long story short, we’ve decided to move up our update schedule for October 30th to October 10th.

The previous schedule was initially planned to provide consistent updates every month, before each content release.

However, I have to admit that I’ve failed to fully meet your expectations.

So, rather than splitting into three partial updates, Season 1 will be divided into two updates, one on August 29th and the other on October 10th.

Along with the above change, we have also begun examining the update methods for the upcoming seasons in the future.

In order to do so, our previous 3rd update for Season 1, will be merged to the 2nd update, which as mentioned above, will take place on October 10th.

Currently, the Dev team is working on continuous updates and hotfixes since our official launch.

We are taking various measures and methods, such as reorganizing the development process and even actively recruiting additional personnel.

We will do our best to prepare better updates that will make you satisfied.

Thank you.”

It’s fantastic news that Nexon has listened to the community once more. It’s a testament to the developer that they are making changes so close to Season 1’s launch, and it’s further proof that they are listening to fans and are more than flexible in changing plans.
