The First Descendant second half of Season 2 just recently arrived adding Ines Raya, but now all eyes are looking ahead to Season 3. Nexon has shared the first official details about the new Season 3 character promising she will be hot, and the developer has also said that Season 3 is expected to add photo mode. Now, in a Q&A with fans on Discord, The First Descendant developer has shared a major improvement for dyes coming “as early as March”.
The First Descendant dev reveals incoming dye improvements
One of the best, but limited, aspects of The First Descendant is its customisation. There are lot of amazing skins in the game, and they are able to be further customized through the use of paints/dye.
Nexon recently conducted a Q&A on Discord with the TFD community. A lot of questions directed to TFD producer Lee were about the dye system, and the producer revealed that “improvements” are coming.

One user asked the producer if it would be possible for players to dye the underwear of characters. To this, Lee responded, “The dye improvement updates include the following: ‘More detailed segmentation of dyeable areas’ and ‘Resolving undyeable areas.’ I hope you look forward to it!”.
The producer also said in response to another question that “Improvements are underway to ensure there are no areas on any skin that cannot be dyed”. It was also stated that new “dyes are being continuously added,” and that fans may be able to see the dye improvements “as early as March,” presumably for Season 3.
While the ability to fully customise every inch of a skin would be fantastic, the producer also commented on other possible improvements for TFD in the future. These include Nexon “exploring a new melee weapon system,” and possibly adding patterns to dyes.
In regard to visual customisation, Nexon also has plans to add options for fans to remove the HUD and UI for a more cinematic look, but, unfortunately, these plans “keep getting pushed down the priority list”.
