The Finals Season 4 has been available for a couple of weeks now, and it has been a lot of fun. It has a good retention rate so far, and the community is enjoying everything new that the chapter has brought. While patches typically come out every Wednesday, Embark has confirmed that The Finals update 4.2 is delayed.
Embark has a lot of exciting plans for their multiplayer shooter. There is going to be a Halloween event for Season 4, and, in a recent AMA, Embark discussed their intentions for the future such as adding clans and Team Deathmatch. In addition, they have also revealed a feature that they are adding in Season 5.
While we cannot wait for the Halloween event, we will also have to be a little more patient for The Finals update 4.2 to arrive. The delay is unfortunate, but the good news is that it’s not very long.
The Finals update 4.2 delayed
On The Finals Discord, Embark Oscar has confirmed that update 4.2 has been delayed. Unless something happens, the patch should be coming out on October 10th.
Below is the developer’s message to the community apologizing for the postponement:
“Unfortunately this week’s update, Update 4.2, has been delayed until tomorrow! We know you’re all eagerly awaiting your ranked rewards from Season 3 which will be paid out with the update, we’re super sorry that you will have to wait another day. I’ll be back tomorrow with patch notes, world tour stop information & ranked rewards”.
Although the delay is unfortunate, it’s good to hear that Embark will still be delivering the Ranked rewards from Season 3. As for why they were not available at the start of S4, Embark explained that they delayed “the delivery in order to do a final sweep of our leaderboards and ensure that all players have earned their rewards fair and square”.
