In line with The Expanses’ bi-weekly release schedule, episode 3 of the series, ‘First Ones’, is now available for all players. Marking the midway point of the series ‘First Ones’ continues the story of The Artemis crew led by Drummer, who previously discovered some mysterious data during a salvaging mission aboard the U.N.N. Urshinabi.
Since then, the data has seen The Artemis clash with pirates and stumble across a mysterious abandoned ship. As is the case with any Telltale game, players’ choices in previous episodes will likely begin to have a significant impact on the overall narrative, with meaningful choices needing to be made in both the first and second episodes of the series. Needless to say, we’re excited to see what’s next in Drummer and The Artemis crew’s story.
In our The Expanse: A Telltale Series review, we described the game as having “a narrative that rarely wanders, the character’s coarse relationships with each other are lubricated by liquid dialogue and rewarding tension. At times the game punishes you for acting kindly, and every action you take is followed by brutal taunting of dire consequences. Despite having only ventured through the first two episodes and a portion of the third, The Expanse: A Telltale Series already has me hooked.”
The Expanse: A Telltale Series is currently available for purchase on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC (via the Epic Games Store).
